Will it affect my warranty?
Most manufacturers will allow aftermarket additions/modifications, including ECU remapping. The ECU modifications carried out by HEXUP will be undetectable by the diagnostic equipment used at dealerships, but we would always recommend that you contact them with any warranty concerns you may have.
Is your remapping reversible?
Our remapping is completely reversible and we keep a copy of your original software so that your car can be returned to standard tune in the future if required.
Will the ECU need to be removed?
Most vehicles can be programmed via the diagnostic port using a serial interface so it is unlikely that we will need to remove the ECU.
Why don’t the manufacturers carry out these modifications in the factory?
The manufacturer must make compromises with power output, fuel efficiency, driveability and exhaust emissions, etc. to accommodate variables such as fuel quality, engineering tolerances, variable maintenance discipline and extremes in operating environments.
A manufacturer will usually create a complete range of power outputs for a particular model. By carrying out software modifications to engines that are often mechanically identical, HEXUP can move you up the power range for a fraction of the cost!
